Why do we limit ourselves and push aside creative ideas?
We can not continue living in a life full of limitations.
That is what Alan is. Making imagination a reality.
Alan Gonzalez is a Texan raised Mexican that discovered fashion design through his love of theater. He graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 2012 and graduated from the Fashion Design program at HCC Central in 2016.
Through his time there he has worked backstage at many fashion shows including Fashion Houston, Heart of Fashion, Fashion HTX, Fashion Woodlands, and many more. He won first place at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts' Fashion Fusion event with his "smoking dress." It was then on exhibition at that museum, then at the Allen Center, then the Houston Central Public Library, and now his senior collection is on display in the lobby of his college.
Alan's garments were featured at the River Oaks Country Club for the 2016 Passion for Fashion Luncheon and have now been seen on major runways in Houston and Dallas such as Fashion X, Fashion HTX, Houston Fashion Week, and Runway Houston. His designs can be found in newspapers and high end magazines such as Local Magazine and The Society Diaries. Last year he presented his debut collections at the Museum of Natural Science and this Spring he brought his next collections to the stage of a local theater.
His personality is what drives his brand. From being able to hear him a mile a way, and having the drive of a four wheel truck, Alan has the desire and passion to go far. With God leading him every step of the way, with a supportive single mother, and a caring little brother, Alan has made it past many obstacles. And this is only the beginning.
